Welcome to Team Wild's gear show. Now previously, on the gear show, we've brought you some wicked
Deerhunter products. We brought you the Deerhunter Ram outfit, we brought you the Deerhunter
Montana outfit and we brought you the Deerhunter Rusky outfit. If you haven't seen those shows,
click on the links here.
This week we're bringing you the brand new Deerhunter Avanti outfit. This is the Deerhunter
Avanti jacket and trousers. Now this is their brand-new lightweight hunting material, specially
designed for the nicer weather. But, not only is it designed for the nicer weather, it still
fits in with the Deer-Tex membrane, which makes it 100% water proof, wind proof and
breathable. And this stuff is extremely lightweight and comfortable to wear. It's ideally suited
for weather between five and twenty-five degrees, which makes it absolutely ideal for your roe
stalking, mooching about in the woods in the summer for the odd pigeon here and there,
or for your summertime pigeon shooting. Let's have a closer look at some of the features
on this cool stuff. These sleeves have elasticated, studded fasteners
which means you can pull them in nice and tight to stop any wind, rain or creepy-crawlies
getting up in there. It has a strong, one-way zipper, which also folds across with studs.
To again, stop any wind, or driving rain from getting in there, for the good ol' British
summer. It has two outside pockets.
It has a top breast pocket. It has a poachers pocket, which also aides
for ventilation. It has a nice, good, tall collar, and a hood
which comes right up with a drawstring.
The trousers have an elasticated loop. They also have two side pockets, and they have
stud fastening for if you want to tuck them inside your boots. Or if you are wearing wellingtons,
you can tuck them around and put them in nice and tight around the bottom.
The Deerhunter Avanti comes in this pattern which is Realtree Xtra Green, and it also
comes in Realtree Max-4. Now I'm looking forward to using the Max-4 on the pigeon shooting
later in the stubbles, because there are a lot of light colours in the stubble and there's
a lot of lights with darks in the Max-4 and I think it will blend in really well in the
hedgerows for that time of year. One thing's for sure, if I get a bit more
of this beautiful British summertime, the Avanti will be getting a lot of uses here.
Now if you want to buy the Avanti or you want some more information on the Avanti, check
out this link.
Team Wild's very own Ian Harford has used the Avanti gear on a stalking trip recently
with Cervus UK in England. He went out after roe deer and muntjac deer. With the weather
being nice but changeable, he knew he had all options covered with the Avanti jacket
and trousers.
