The world is a big place and it’s possibly full of some pretty mysterious creatures.
Like Sasquatch, mermaids, chupacabras, Anne Hathaway’s and of course, the Loch Ness
Monster. But, one of these may not be a mystery much longer.
The Loch Ness monster may have been photographed in a lake in Windermere, England. 300 miles
away from the Scottish waters it’s named after. A London lass vacationing in England’s
lake district set up her tripod, positioned her camera and took some snap shots of the
beautiful surroundings. It was until she looked at them later that she saw what might be Nessie,
or at least one of her cousins. And this isn’t the first time a giant lake monster has been
spotted in the area. The first sightings sprouted up in 2006 and numerous sightings have been
reported since. And bros? Gals? There are lake monsters EVERYWHERE!
Ogopogo. In Okanagan Lake in Canada’s British Columbia lives a famous sea serpent, or um,
lake serpent. It is said to be between 20 and 50 feet long with a horse like head. One
crypotzoologist has categorized Ogopogo as a type of primitive whale, like the Basilosaurus.
Nahuelito. In southern South America, in a lake in Patagoina, Argentina lives a Loch
Ness type creature with a giant hump on its back. Some experts believe the sightings of
humps, tails and heads are due to the lakes otters. Others believe it is a mutant byproduct
of nuclear testing done by the Nazis. I think it’s a lonely monster looking for a friend.
I’ll be your amigo.
Lagarfljot Worm. Nailed it. This Icelandic worm monster lives in Lagarfljot, nailed it
again. It is said to be over 300 feet long and has been seen outside of the water. Which
is terrifying. It’s creepy enough swimming in a lake, but on land? That is some Tremors
level terror right there. Or Sandworms. Take your pick.
Storsjöodjuret. Oh come on, aren’t there any lake monsters named Steve or something?
Anyways, this guy lives in lake Storsjon in Jamtland…you know what, this isn’t fair.
Lake Tianchi Monster. This water beast is described as a buffalo creature and lives
in the waters between China and North Korea. Wait, North Korea? There is no way Kim Jong
Un is not going to capture that beast and ride it into war. Do we have a picture of
that?
And there is more! Russia has the Bronso Dragon, which some people refute, claiming it’s
a mutant beaver. Which is nyet better. Altamaha-ha is a water creature that lives in Georgia
and has the coolest monster name by far. And then there is the Oklahoma Octopus. Which
is both a mysterious lake monster in the U.S. and my backyard-wrestling name.

just lakes.

Thanks for watching.
