Could I survive a horror movie?
What type of horror movie?
What do you mean?
Zombie, vampire, alien invasion, madman slasher film or what?
Do you think I could survive a zombie movie?
If it is only a few zombies, I think you could survive by going up in the attic and staying
there a few days. If they had taken over the world, I don’t think you’re in good enough
shape to fight it out to a boat on the ocean.
What about a vampire horror movie?
You liked Twilight movie too much. I think you’d choose to become a vampire, and that
doesn’t count as survival.
I’d survive the slasher movie.
How would you do that? You don’t know how to shoot a gun or do much in terms of martial
arts.
The pretty love interest survives, and I’m prettier than you. Conversely, I’m in better
shape, so you’d get butchered while I ran away.
Oh, right, the old I don’t have to outrun a bear just run faster than you ploy.
Do you think I’d survive an alien invasion movie?
If it is something like they nuke the cities and then people survive in the wilderness,
you can’t survive that long without a mall. So you’d die in either nature strikes back
or alien invasion movies.
What about those pod people movies? The ones where the pods slowly replace real people
with aliens until the plot is discovered, and we find their secret weakness.
You’re so self-absorbed on your cell phone or iPad, I can’t be sure you’re a real
person most days anyway. You’d be blown away as a pod person, 50-50 odds.
Would I survive a viral infection horror movie?
That depends on the type of infection. You might, if you have the genetic immunity to
the disease, and it doesn’t turn the infected or dead into monsters.
Do you think I’d survive one of those supernatural end of the world movies?
Yes, I do.
Why?
You seem to enjoy those type books and movies so much, you’re an expert. And given how
much you like vampires and such, they’d probably adopt you as one of their own.
