hi this is tracy from kuta software i'm going to demonstrate how easy it is
to create an assignment using infinite algebra one
here is a blank new assignment
in the upper right is the list of topics we can add to the assignment
the upper left will list question sets after we add them
if you have a widescreen monitor you could make better use of space by
moving the stop biennale to this site by clicking view
move topics to the side
now will at some questions to the assignment
the topic of lists can be put in index order or suggested order
index order is like the index of the book
suggested order is like the table of contents
will add to multi step equations to this assignment
this window displays the options for multi sap equations questions
each topic has it's going to options
for multi step equations we can control the size of the numbers
the types of numbers integers, factions, are decimals
which side of the equation the variable is on
whether to include special cases or not
the number of times the student has to distribute
and whether that variable appears on both sides
or just one side
the easy media manhunt buttons
are presets they choose that options for you
you can use these as they are or you can use them as a starting point for your
own questions
you can also select free response or multiple-choice questions
we'll add several question set and so will start with something easy questions
and will make the numbers a little smaller
We’ll add eight of these
Add and continue adds those eight questions to the assignment and brings us
back to where we were
will make the questions a little harder by increasing the size of the numbers
and including special cases
now well added another eight questions
well make it harder again by requiring the students to distribute once
and having the variables on both sides
well add six of these questions and this will be the last question set so
We’ll just click okay
now we see our assignment with twenty two questions
we can reveal the answers to see a bit more about what questions were generated
if there is a question you don't like
you just click on it and press the space bar to regenerate the question
it looks like only
one special case was generated
Let’s make sure that there is one more by regenerating this question
until it is a special case
now that we like all of the questions let's finish off with the last few
details
We’ll change the heading by double clicking on it
will call this
beginning multi step equations
the ideas he is from multiple version printing we only need one version so
will hide that fields
now this is signing isn't making good use of space
if we click here i'm just tired life
we can make the assignment one page
students will need more space to solve these questions so will make it two
pages
will save the assignment
the file name that appears is taken from the title of the assignment and that's
fine
if we wanted we could make all of the questions multiple-choice
we can scramble the questions within each sent
we can also regenerate all the questions in the assignment
there's also a graphing utility
it can graph functions or just print blank graphs
if you use a smart board, active board, lcd projector, or other display
systems
you can use presentation view to display just a few questions on the screen at
once
while you are teaching
this concludes this video on the basics of creating an assignment
there is still multiple version printing, merging, creating assignments with
multiple products, and other features that we will cover in other videos
thank you
