If you call a locksmith that shows up in an unmarked car, with no signs, and no equipment,
then you can be sure that he has no training, and you are going to get scammed. And in every
case—every single case where I go behind—where a scam company has rekeyed the locks, there
are missing tumblers. They have compromised your security greatly, and the lock won’t
work as long, won’t be as secure, just a hundred reasons why this is a bad idea. These
people are very, very dishonest and unscrupulous. How to protect yourself from being scammed
by locksmiths when you call somebody out to open your home or business: if a locksmith
on the phone cannot give you a flat rate, total price for opening you car before he
arrives, then be sure he’s going to scam you, and they do plan on scamming you. That’s
a scam, and that’s just a scam to get more money out of you. So, today, we’re exposing
another one of the scams that’s perpetrated by people in our industry.
