The 2013 Summer Institute had a successful first session and the staff is
looking forward to our second.
These 3-day institutes are designed for faculty of all ranks and ages, disciplines,
and technical skills.
The institute covers a wide range of topics. Participants will have access to
Digital Humanities staff to answer questions, and individualized learning.
Each participant will also receive a 6 week loan of an iPad 4.
Explore digital scholarship projects;
create core sites and web portfolios with wordpress; engage students more
actively with your mobile sites, and explore the Bridge discovery tool in the
library.
Learn about different types of online learning, including MOOCS and SPOCS
create screencast or Prezi from one of your powerpoint presentations, and explore
the audio and video databases in the library.
Explore the uses of GIS in higher education; create your own map,
and explore the image databases and other sources of online images.
