jbjb Boot Camp Fitness Goals (4:18) Boot Camp Trainer [music] Well it s a very, cool morning
this morning, eight degrees, and it is Melbourne winter so, I ve got Jacky here, how you going
Jacky? Fitness Participant Good thanks, Andrew. Boot Camp Trainer Jacky s been with us actually
for two years, coming, Tuesday week Fitness Participant Yeah. Boot Camp Trainer so that
s an amazing effort, so when you joined Fitstyler Boot camp, what were some of your goals? Fitness
Participant I wanted to increase my fitness obviously Boot Camp Trainer Yeah. Fitness
Participant and um, and I probably wanted to lose a bit of weight Boot Camp Trainer
Yeah. Fitness Participant probably lose about ten kilos or so Boot Camp Trainer Yeah. Fitness
Participant be able to um, maybe start running again. Boot Camp Trainer Okay. Fitness Participant
That s my goal really. Boot Camp Trainer And how did you go with weight loss? Fitness Participant
Yeah, I, look at an increase in the fitness level and losing the weight all goes together
so yeah, I ve managed to lose ten kilos Boot Camp Trainer Yeah. Fitness Participant now
and Boot Camp Trainer That is awesome. Fitness Participant yeah, and with an increasing fitness
level I ve started running again so I ve managed to make all those goals then to actually surpass
them. Boot Camp Trainer That is awesome. And, and tell us about the training because I know
that we have little groups, I break people up into different groups depending on their
running ability and you re just absolutely sensational now with your running Fitness
Participant [laughing] Boot Camp Trainer and it s, you know, it is quite noticeable, what
about some of the runs that you do, because I noticed that you started running on your
own Fitness Participant Yeah. Boot Camp Trainer and doing some runs around the um, track along
the Yarra and so forth Fitness Participant Yeah. Boot Camp Trainer how long are those
runs that you re doing at the moment? Fitness Participant I started off just running little
short runs Boot Camp Trainer Yeah. Fitness Participant and building it up over time and
Boot Camp Trainer Yeah. Fitness Participant now I ve been running nine to ten, um, ten
kilometres Boot Camp Trainer Yeah. Fitness Participant probably two to three times a
week now, yeah. Boot Camp Trainer That s pretty amazing like you think about people who do
those sort of distances when they re, you know, when there training for a half marathon
Fitness Participant Mmm. Boot Camp Trainer and you re just doing this on your own Fitness
Participant Yeah. Boot Camp Trainer out on the site and the most amazing thing about
that I have to mention is that about Jacky is that you know when people say oh, I don
t have time, I m too busy, you know that lack of motivation, well Jacky s actually a nurse
and Fitness Participant Yeah. Boot Camp Trainer she works crazy hours, does a typical Fitness
Participant Yeah. Boot Camp Trainer shift work and you know, god bless all the nurses
out there, that are out there staffing our hospitals, but you ve managed to, tell us
about how you managed to get to the sessions, I mean you obviously work both ends of the
day Fitness Participant Yeah. Boot Camp Trainer so evenings and nights, how do Fitness Participant
Yeah. Boot Camp Trainer manage to get to the Fitness Participant I just really make it
a priority, like Boot Camp Trainer Yeah. Fitness Participant I swap my boot camp sessions around
and Boot Camp Trainer Yeah. Fitness Participant most weeks I can try and get off work, I can
get to two sessions in Boot Camp Trainer Yeah. Fitness Participant so that s the most I can
really commit to Boot Camp Trainer Yeah, yeah. Fitness Participant there s the odd week that
I can t, but then I ll make it up the following week so Boot Camp Trainer Yeah, yeah. Fitness
Participant I just move them around and, and really you know, it s like I just make it
part of the day that I have to do Boot Camp Trainer Yeah. Fitness Participant there s
no question about whether I come or not Boot Camp Trainer Yeah. Fitness Participant I just
come. Boot Camp Trainer That s awesome and that s the hardest part and if there s any
boot camp but any sort of activity be it an outdoor activity or any sort of exercise program,
being a gym, or joining a health club, is it s all about is making as Jacky said, it
is about it being a priority and if you make it a priority, it s like having a business
appointment, you just do it, you don t think about it Fitness Participant Yeah. Boot Camp
Trainer and Jacky what keeps you coming back, it s been two years, it s a long time to commit
to any exercise program Fitness Participant Yeah. Boot Camp Trainer a big commitment,
we re outside it rains, it s cold Fitness Participant Yeah. Boot Camp Trainer and, I
mean it s beautiful, it s not too bad this morning but generally it can get unpleasant
weather wise Fitness Participant Yeah. Boot Camp Trainer I mean what generally keeps you
motivated and interested in continuing? Fitness Participant Look I like it being outside Boot
Camp Trainer Yeah. Fitness Participant s better than being in a gym Boot Camp Trainer Yeah.
Fitness Participant inside and, and I really like the fresh air and in the winter you don
t get a lot of fresh air any other time Boot Camp Trainer Yeah. Fitness Participant so
it s lovely to be outside but there s also the social aspect of it Boot Camp Trainer
Yeah. Fitness Participant you know, I get some really nice people coming and Boot Camp
Trainer Yeah. Fitness Participant even now there s a bit of social sort of group that
we re pulling together and it s seeing each other outside Boot Camp Trainer Yeah. Fitness
Participant of Boot camp Boot Camp Trainer Yeah. Fitness Participant you know, you don
t really do that in a gym, you don t do that on your own, you don t really do that with
personal training either Boot Camp Trainer Yeah. Fitness Participant but yeah, it s got
a lot of benefit. Boot Camp Trainer I think that s something that s really, I mean that
s what I tell people as well, like it s quite special and I feel that I m fortunate to be
part of you guys and we re going out next Thursday, actually to the local restaurant,
it s just part of why we are all here Fitness Participant Yeah. Boot Camp Trainer re going
to go in our training gear, all hot and sweaty but the main thing is that Fitness Participant
Yeah it s fun.. Boot Camp Trainer yeah, we re all here, you know week in, week out doing
some great stuff, trying to improve our fitness, our health and just have a group of people
with similar interests Fitness Participant Yeah, that s it, Boot Camp Trainer re all
out there Fitness Participant similar interests and people who are keen to be healthy Boot
Camp Trainer Yeah. Fitness Participant s, you know that s where you meet them, just
somewhere like this. Boot Camp Trainer And we ve got all these great little, sub little
groups that we have and it Fitness Participant Yeah. Boot Camp Trainer s really special and
I m really fortunate to be a part of, part of this whole experience and a part of these
groups.. Fitness Participant Yeah. Boot Camp Trainer and that s what it s all about so,
