Since the creation of the first video-microscope by Hirox in 1986, the Hirox systems have become
the standard in 3D digital microscopy.
This revolutionary tool pushes the limits of optical microscopy with ever more advanced
features, great ergonomics and amazing ease of use.
Let's discover now the KH-8700, the latest generation of Hirox microscopes and its range
of encoded optics with magnification from 1x to 7000x.
This all-in-one portable & evolutive system is used worldwide by customers in many different fields, such as
Electronics, Aerospace, Automotive, Cosmetics, Biology, Forensics,
Watch Makers, Metallography, Gemology, Museums and much more.
Let's start by connecting the lens to the high resolution CCD camera, as well as the
high intensity LED light source boosting a lifetime of about 10 years (30000h).
It is now possible to observe samples on the Full HD 21" screen, directly in contact: skin,
fibers...
Simply press "Capture" to save the image on the internal hard disk of 500 GB
Hirox has developed a unique and revolutionary concept that allows 360 degrees inspection
without contact or moving the stand. Thanks to motorized rotating mirrors
with variable viewing angles, all the sides of an object become visible!
The HIROX rotary head allows inspection of details, reliefs and cavities in 3D, without additional manipulation.
The powerful and easy-to-use software allows many types of measurement:
point-to-point, distance between two parallel lines,
angle measurement, automatic area measurement.
All measurements can then be saved in a format compatible with Microsoft Excel.
A new feature of the KH-8700 is the automatic measurement of particles or pixels, for example.
Just select an object, apply it to the entire screen and all the measurements and statistics
appear automatically.
The KH-8700 has another new feature: super fast "point autofocus".
Let's do the test on a printed circuit board: just double click on the area of interest
to activate the autofocus.
To solve the problem of shallow depth of field, the KH-8700 allows a multifocus which will
combine multiple planes in the Z axis in one single image.
Let's do the test on the wheel of a lighter.
First choose the lowest point, then option "Quick 3D".
The system will scan a series of plans in the Z axis with steps as small as 50 nanometers,
that will be reconstructed in a single image.
Once the multifocus image obtained, it is possible to display the topography of the
sample in three dimensions, to carry out measurements of height and volume, and then read the profile of
the entire surface being inspected. The KH-8700 from HIROX
also enables the measurement of Ra and Rz roughness parameters.
With one click, the system generates a report than can be easily printed or stored on a USB drive,
an external hard drive or on a corporate network.
As you could see, the Hirox KH-8700 is at the same time: a powerful inspection system in Full HD,
a very fast and accurate measurement tool,
a 3D profilometer with all the topographic information
