The decision has been made, so how will the grass roots fare?
And who has people's vote?
Our reporter Pere Wihongi went out to get the low-down.
The date has been set,
but have the minds of the younger generation?
Yes.
I'll think about it,
and maybe I'll vote.
I believe we need a change in government.
These students have six months
to think about which party or person they will vote for this year.
It's not much time at all, but it doesn't faze these students.
It won't be long
because I've already decided who will get my vote.
I'm better informed on which party will go through.
Even though they have classes to think about,
some have already decided who they want in government.
Personally, I think Tame Iti should run for PM.
My mind is telling me, National.
Because they have Hone Harawira.
Parties have six months from today
to draw in the voters who have yet to decide
on where their votes will go.
Pere Wihongi, Te Karere.
