Hi guys it's MTNitroRC
and today I'm going to be showing you how to clean your R/C bearings for your wheels
So as you can see
this is before cleaning, you can see how dirty the bearing is
it has all dirt inside
and dried-up mud
and i'm going to be showing you how to clean them so
the thing you are going to need today
are denatured alcahol (Methylated spirits)
some WD-40 (or other spray lubricant)
and if you would like, you can use some grease
so first you are going to have to fill a container
with some alcahol
you don't need very much...
and just place the bearings inside
and leave them there for 5-10 minutes for the dirt to break up.
Ok, so after the time has passed
you are going to want to remove the bearings
from the alcahol
So now what I will do is just wipe the bearings first
to get as much of the dirt off as I can
as you can see it's much more clean but it's not clean enough
you can also use some carb spray
its used to clean carburetors and throttle bodies
its used to clean carburetors and throttle bodies
and just spray some of this on the bearing
this stuff will sclean it really well
also do the same for the other ones
it helps get rid of dirty oil
and this stuff evaporates very quickly so you can apply WD-40 staright after
and this helps prevent rust inside the bearings
and helps them have a longer life
If you would like you could also put some grease on the bearing
or specific bearing grease
and just apply a small ammount
just wipe off the exces grease
And there you go, you've just cleaned your bearings
and they should operate more smoothly now and if you clean them regurally they should have a long life
so I hope you learned somthing from this video
and I am sorry for not making one for a long time but i was very busy :)
but I'll be making more videos soon
and I'll see you next time guys, bye!
