What are Meta Keywords? The Meta Keywords tag should be a concise
list of keywords that summarize what your web page is about. Below is a Meta Keywords
tag example of how the keywords might look for a website page on "dog kennels."
At this point it's very important to point out that the Meta Keywords tag today is a
redundant Meta tag and no longer used by Google to rank web pages. Too many times my friends
the Meta Keywords tag was used and abused by webmasters trying to rank higher.
Click on the link above, where Matt Cutts, head of Google's Webspam team confirms this.
Furthermore, you can click on the link below where Matt Cutts confirms not to waste one
second of your time on this Meta tag. Our advice to you is plain and simple: Don't
waste one second of your time on this redundant Meta tag!
However, if you absolutely insist on using the Meta keywords tag we would advise the
following 4 things: 1) Use a Maximum of 6 keywords as your page
should be tightly focused on a topic anyway. 2) Put your most important keywords at the
beginning 3) Do not repeat keywords
4) Leave a space between keywords and separate keywords with a comma.
