- I just like how he's like a complete romantic
trapped in the body of a killer.
(jaunty music)
- What else? These are the Buffy magazines.
There's a Spike interview.
- I am a big fan of Spike.
- I'm so obsessed.
- People love the whole show Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
- I felt like it was both. It was both scary
and a love story.
It just attracted everybody.
- He actually, I think, represents
the atonal rainbow that is Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
- Spike had a mouth on him
and I appreciated that.
I'm like, "Yo, girls like this guy?
Cool, because I got a mouth on me."
- He's like that punk rocker boyfriend
that you want to date in high school
but you're kind of like waiting for him
to grow up a little bit.
- Bad boy, heart of gold thing.
- Yeah!
- He was a very sensitive guy.
- Very sensitive.
- It's like your fantasy, such a fantasy.
- I was saying, I want to know was it mostly improv?
- What's the first step to becoming a vampire?
- Does he keep in touch with
any of the other actors from the show?
- On set, worked with people for so long,
there had to be some sort of romantic
connection at some point with someone, right?
- [Voiceover] What would you do if you were
able to ask him that?
- Yeah, I don't, I mean, but that would never happen.
- [Voiceover] Because he's here.
- Oh my God.
- Oh my God.
- I'm sweating so much right now.
- Oh my God.
- It's a total fake, hi.
Hey, good to meet you.
- Nice to meet you.
(laughing)
- It's like private.
- What if I said some really wrong (bleep)?
- I'm really sweaty right now.
Like really try to keep it cool right now.
- Don't, don't. It's so good for my ego.
- Hi.
- How you doing?
- I'm feeling a little nauseous.
- No, yeah, I'm definitely going to black out.
(laughing)
- Who asked the thing about improv?
Not one word was improv.
- What?
- Not one comma was improv.
- What was it like to be on a show
that was just so incredibly progressive
from a feminist standpoint, from an LGBT standpoint?
- That was my favorite thing about Buffy
is that we had the first teenage lesbian kiss
on the show.
- Yes.
- What is the episode you have the most
fondest memories from filming or just watching?
- My favorite episode probably was the musical.
- How does he develop feelings for Druscilla?
- That's a very deft thing to notice.
I got this role and it said you're going to do
a five episode arc and then you're dead.
A really great show, and I thought
I don't want to be dead so I held onto love
because that's what the audience
always responds to so I looked around
and said, "Well, he loves his girlfriend."
- It's not every day that you meet the man
that your girlfriend would leave you for.
- There is that football player who you know
is the biggest jerk in the world
and all the women are going for that
and you're just like, "Really?
That's what you guys like? You like the evil guy."
- Exactly.
- I was kind of having that reaction
to the whole Spike thing.
I was like, "Why do you like me?
I'm a ***!"
- I'll tell you.
- Did you finally figure out
what made you likable?
- No.
- My sister would be freaking out.
My entire family, my mom would be
fan girling right now.
- Like everyone knows because
I insert a Buffy reference into every
video that I do, is that it's
a very important part of me
when I was growing up
and still even now.
It's just awesome to like meet someone
and hear about how they were feeling
and that it was just as important
to them as it was us, you know?
- That's just completely unfair.
Oh, look. It's me with mascara on.
- You remember these?
- Yeah, I wore more ...
- These are so old.
- Make up than Sarah. They always used to say that.
"We need more time with him.
She's easy, this guy needs a lot of help."
