My name's Mark Ritchie and I'm the technical and production manager at MacRobert.
I started off in Paisley Arts centre on a panto
and through that, through working in the panto just as a crew member,
I just worked my way up through the ranks and now
I've come here so I suppose that was my first
frey into theatre. You're on call all the way through
so you pretty much don't have a life, it becomes groundhog day for
a good couple of months.
Then again that's just part of the job and you accept that when you take it on. I think
it suits a lot of creative people who don't necessarily want to perform or be on
the stage. They want to do behind the scenes
but there is an awful lot of creativity. I think people just think it's like
being a joiner or whatever working backstage but there are a lot of creative things
that you have to do.
So possibly
creatives with a head for heights.
