Time now for a check on what the weather has in store for us. Let's go straight over to
our Lee Jee-hyun standing by at the weather center
Jeehyun, today was just lovely here in Seoul... it was nice and warm and the air clear One
perfect day to spend time outdoors, it was. But, the big question is... what about tomorrow?
What will the weather look like for those Koreans heading to vote tomorrow?
Sorry to say... but rain is in the forecast on election day. In fact, the previous two
general elections saw showers as well.
Hmmm.... weather has always played a factor in voter turnout. How much rain are we talking
about?
It's been raining in Jeju since this evening. This system is going to gradually spread nationwide
by midnight. Overall, the peninsula will get between 5 to 30 millimeters of rain through
tomorrow afternoon. Showers will taper and leave behind heavy clouds. Another thing to
beware of... there is a slim chance of yellow dust sweeping in after the rain.
Temperatures will be similar to today but double digit lows to start out.
Seoul starts off at 12 degrees Celsius, 14 in Daejeon, Gwangu and Busan while Jeju Island
kick off at 17.
As for the highs, Seoul and Daejeon will rise to 19 while Jeju
hits 21.
We'll see more rain in the forecast over the next five days. This weekend should be a wet
one as well but temperatures won't be affected that much.
Before I go, a 61-year-old man was confirmed to have the SFTS virus.
It's the first case this year. The best way to prevent a related infection is to avoid
tick bites. So when you are outdoors, do not put your clothes on the grass and be sure
to use mat when you sit down.
That's all for Korea and here's a look at the weather conditions around the world.
