Hello, My name is Courtney Powell. I am the founder and CEO of PublikDemand. I built PublikDemand
because like you, I had a problem with a major corporation and they wouldn’t listen. PublikDemand
is meant to give you a place to come and share your complaint and find others who have experienced
the same thing, and use the power of social media to publicly request that the company
respond to your issue. The leverage that’s created when people come together and use
their voice and amplify it using social media is incredible. So each week, I’d like to
come together and share with you some ideas, news, maybe new tools and tricks that we’ve
learned, to help you resolve your complaint faster. So I want to start with something
called PublikDemand complaint hotline. Our complaint hotline was meant to give you an
easy, simple way to share your complaint when you’re on the go. Standing in the line with
United and ready to blow your top? Call us instead. Share your complaint and we’ll
ask United to take care of it immediately. Also coming soon is a new text to complain
service. You simply text PublikDemand and we’ll respond back with a couple of questions
that you can answer to tell us about your issue and the company that you’re dealing
with and we’ll automatically generate a complaint and begin asking the company to
resolve your problem. Stay tuned for more about text to complain. So, the company this
week that I’m most excited to tell you about is Apple. Luis Guzman, a man from California,
who owned a special effects movie studio, has been arguing with Apple over the last
several months. Poor Luis has gone through eleven defective iPhones. That’s right,
eleven. Luis uses his iPhone as his lifeline for business, storing tons of contacts, photos,
videos, email, etc. and apparently the amount of usage that he has used it for is not what
the iPhone was built for. After eleven defective iPhones, Apple finally told him that the iPhone
cannot handle the load that he was processing. So, Luis decided to leave Apple and go to
another carrier. However, he’s asked the company to explain explicitly to business
owners who hope to use their iPhone in the same way that he did. He ran across several
instances where his phone flat out wouldn’t work and cost him business. That’s not fair.
Apple, do you know that your iPhone is defective over a certain level of use? If so, you need
to warn your customers before they buy them and waste hours of their life and possibly
cost them business by using your phone. In other Apple customer relations news, we’ve
noticed the steady increase of complaints since iOS6 has come out. If you’re experiencing
complaint with iOS6, please come to our site and share your thoughts so we can encourage
Apple to fix these issues and respond to their customers more quickly. Well, that’s it
for this week’s consumer update. Stay tuned for next week where we’ll highlight more
tips and tricks and talk about companies that you may possibly think twice about using in
the future. Thank you for using PublikDemand. Don’t forget that we’re here to help you,
and you can reach me anytime by emailing courtney@publikdemand.com and follow me on twitter @courtneypowell.
