[voiceover - female speaker]. There maybe times when it is
necessary to trim frames from the clip but maintain the clip's
audio allowing it to flow over on to the next video clip.
At the end of clip you are about to preview, look for the
announcer to quickly turn away from the camera while speaking.

[voiceover - female speaker]. To help create a
smoother transition, the frameset including the
quick-turn motion will be removed while allowing
the attached audio to spill over to the next clip.
Click on the blue Action pop-up Menu in the lower left corner
of the clip and select Precision Editor.
The Precision Editor window drops down
over the Event Browser.
Update the Precision Editor to the exact area needing edited,
by clicking the gray space at the end of the clip.
In the Precision Editor window, position the mouse at the end
of the clip until the cursor turns into the Resize Bar.
While watching the Viewer, click and drag the Resize Bar
until you see the announcer come back into sight
and look squarely into the camera.
Then release the mouse.
The Edit Point will automatically update
and the frames that were just removed are now darkened.
The next step is to bring back the audio attached
to the frames we just removed.
To do this, click the Show Audio Tracks button,
if it isn't already clicked, in the Precision Editor.
Move the mouse to the edit point of the audio track
until you see the Resize Bar.
Click and drag the Resize Bar to the right to highlight
the darkened portion of the audio track.
Click done and now preview the edit.

[voiceover - female speaker]. Once the transition is added
between these two clips, the change will be much smoother.
