Atmospheric aerosols are tiny particles that are suspended in the atmosphere.
There are various types. Examples include dust, sea salts, sulfates, nitrates,
and carbon containing particles.
These aerosols are very important for climate change.
Both natural and human activities release these aerosol particles into the
atmosphere.
Examples include volcanos,
forest burning, burning of fossil fuels, and transportation.
These atmospheric aerosol particles can counteract, to some extent, the warming
of green house gases because they are mainly reflective.
Although, some of them do absorb sunlight.
Other important aspects include its impact on air quality
and human health through lung and heart diseases.
