>> MARK GUIM: Hey Nokia fans. According to several sources, Nokia is going to release
a 10.1-inch Windows RT-based tablet next month. Here's what we know so far:
According to winsupersite, the Nokia tablet which is codenamed Sirius is going to have
a Quad-core Qualcomm 8974 CPU, 1920 by 1080 IPS screen with outdoor readability, 10 hours
of battery life, optional LTE connectivity, 6.7 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics,
weighs 1.3 lbs and is 0.35 inches thick.
According to the Verge, the Nokia Sirius looks like a large Lumia device. They also claim
it will have a 2 megapixel front facing camera, microSD slot
in addition to the 32GB internal storage, micro HDMI connector, and microUSB port.
There's also an additional keyboard accessory that includes battery for charging.
The price is rumored to be $499 which I think is a little expensive. I don't own a tablet
right now, but honestly a 32 GB Nexus 7 running Android for $269 sounds more tempting than
a Windows tablet for $499.
Nothing is official yet, so I guess we'll just have to wait for the announcements.
So, what do you guys think about these rumors? Is this something that you would buy? Let
me know in the comments section below.
That should be it. I'm Mark Guim for the Nokia Blog. Thanks for watching.
