Hi, my name is Clint Schambach and I am a personal trainer and bootcamp instructor with
Level Up Fitness in St Louis, MO.
A common question that I get when someone is planning their weekly fitness routine,
is how many days per week they need to workout to maximize their fat loss?
Every person wants to get the most out of their fitness efforts, without spending countless
hours in the gym or fitness center every day of the week. Every persons goals are slightly
different, but each person should be doing something active every day.
This is a normal concern and you don’t need to be spending every day slaving away inside
the gym. A properly designed workout plan should include 3 or 4 days of resistancing
per week on average and depending on your fat loss goals, the amount of resistance training
each week could vary slightly. On the other days during the week, you will need to be
getting in some type of cardio, while taking one day completely off to give your body and
mind a break and a chance to rest and recover.
Something that you might not have considered, is that by going as hard as you can 7 days
per week can actually cause you to burn out faster and also increase your chance of injury,
especially when beginning a weight loss or fat loss routine. It is better to ease into
your routine, rather than going 120% and having to take time off due to unbearable soreness
or injury.
If you or anyone else you know has been struggling with fitness or weight loss and has been going
to their gym, fitness center, or health club bootcamp without seeing any fat loss results,
