Amsterdam, engineered and produced by Christopher Rose (songwriter, guitar, keyboards & vocals). Rose was asked to join the band after engineering & producing earlier Bolinas demo. Jim Carroll used the Rose / Amsterdam demo to get his record deal.
Rose song "On the Run" was basis for Tommy Tutone hit "876-5309"... when Amsterdam & Tommy Tutone had same management and heard the Rose demo.
Christopher Rose & The Tongues-- Geffen expressed interest to sign as 3rd act to that then new label. Showcased at The Palms in SF, with Allen Beale (keyboards & vocal), Gary Calvin (bass); Vic Patterson (drums); Brian Lindsley (guitar & vocal)
