now here on this program just though little while ago
earlier this month on April 3rd I made a prediction that the republicans
basing their entire strategy I on running against Obamacare
in November 2014 is a bad idea
in fact military the British me to some right now
I now believe that the republicans are the middle of a historic miscalculation
they were positive because they live in their own bubble their self polluted
world
that Obamacare was a disaster and the people america hated
okay and that they would run the entire campaign in 2014 against Obamacare
were still unable by the time they have the election in november
I think millions of Americans will try me when
that wasn't so bad I'm actually paying less in a lotta miss this is a most
instances they're paying less
I'm even surprised by that okay and they're getting more coverage
sometimes they're getting coverage when they didn't have any so you're gonna be
strip a little campaign
and taking away their insurance for people all right now three short weeks
later let see what happen
I in a proven fact was a historic miscalculation now look
but three weeks is a lot shorter than I anticipated as you saw on there I
thought the date you would people need it
chance to try it and that the numbers will get better and better for Obamacare
in a
and I were some worse idea to try to run against that already we have some said a
numbers in
mmm there's some chance that I might have been on to something for some all
the polls conducted by the New York Times and Kaiser Family Foundation
show democratic senators Kay Hagan in North Carolina Mary Landrieu a Louisiana
and Mark Pryor an Arkansas
as well as likely democratic nominee else in lung removed grimes
in Kentucky either an essential dead-heat
or leading their Republican competitors
whether I for those are all red states the 00 Obama got beat badly and
and now that the all those who voted for Obamacare will you hang around their
neck got I got to you got no chance the way means red state
go Obamacare were already that's not working
already there you're tied or in the lead
and you got so much more time
for more people to get onto their program to see the benefits that program
I'm telling you man they Republicans initially said
that this would be Obama's Waterloo it looks increasingly
everyday like it's gonna be the republicans Waterloo
they can't let this thing go they voted against it now over
board dozen times and now they're basing their entire strategy on it
here comes an iceberg now that's
the senate races the ones that they were hoping to pick up so they can get
control the Senate
but let's look at the states where they did the Medicaid expansion under
Obamacare and was that they didn't do the Medicaid expansion
see if there's a difference there well there's two very red states Arkansas
Kentucky the abbot have democratic governors
how are they doing i mean they did the Medicaid expansion
the Red Sea Sindhu in that have republican governors
sop up bad they're gonna be a lotta trouble people don't want to ensure our
ads
and if you can spare many did allow them to get insurance popping gonna hate that
so as you can see Arkansas governor Mike Beebe moon
mmm sixty-eight percent approval
that is unbelievable a camera last summer so governor with a 60 percent
approval
that spanned past that go I can't I gotta have a good turkey
as you can see there could be a governor steve Beshear at fifty-six percent
approval
now you can see there's a lot of reasons why they're doing well ur long-serving
governor is fairly popular well
parlors in their popular is because they the things like this and
one thing is clear: it's not like they you know
implementing Obamacare expanding Medicaid and the people I thought we
hate this guy
if anything it appears to be the opposite while now let's be fair let's
go to the
red states with Republican governors and obviously says they blocked the Medicaid
expansion unblock
more people getting insurance they must be exceedingly popular right
consider polling sellers oh you're North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory
hoops 44 percent disapproval
and actually only forty-three percent approval so
he's under water as they say now look he had a scandal a bombing
environmental regulation so there's many different reasons why Republicans are
unpopular
all the reasons we've stated great because they don't like to regulate the
cause a mass
and then when it comes actually for the governor to do something positive they
refuse to do it
well let's go to bobby Jindal in Louisiana Colo easy and *** already
bobby Jindal been there forever
PC running for president must be really popular especially cuz the blog
Obamacare's
Medicaid expansion as you can see this is not going to go well perm
forty percent approval 54 percent disapproval 14 points
underwater what happen I thought the guys who block you're gonna do great in
the guys who expanded medicare we're going to Tao
so far it certainly does not appear that way
now talking points memo: explains participate in the law
didn't doom the former rejecting it didn't let the latter
paired with the unexpectedly go Senate results for the democrats the political
narrative
that Obamacare will carry republicans a victory by default appears
more and more shaky
means that anybody who thought their political narrative was totally wrong
three weeks ago before the polls came in
lot of pundits or four Bs on TV yes cuz they go with the
mainstream conventional wisdom in Washington that's not what we do
we actually look at the fax we look at the polling yes that is relevant for
which direction people are gonna go and we get a sense of where the country is
heading
not where washington wants it to head not were conventional wisdom things as
having
and that is why we are far more right and opponents on TV although that is
damning with faint praise and in this case yes
running against Obamacare is going to be at terrible idea
this is not the end of the iceberg for the Republic is this the beginning of
the iceberg
that they're gonna run straight into
