All of us have been through many storms in our lives, both physically and spiritually.
And many of the storms have been out of our control, but some of the storms in our lives
have been because we were reaping what we had sown. I know in my life, looking back,
I'm thankful for many of the storms that I've went through because it's through the suffering
that the Lord Jesus Christ has shaped me and molded me into the man that He has made me
today. I'm no better than any one of you out there, but I just make myself available to
Jesus and that is what we must do. But, whether you know it or not, the storm that you're
going through right now - even if you've created this storm yourself by chasing after sin...
Jesus will make a way out - He will make a way... He will turn this around for your good,
but you must put all of your trust in Him. You must not look to other people... You must
not even look to self-help books or things in this world to help you... You must look
to Jesus... You must go and get alone with Him and stay in that secret place with Him
crying out to Him... And then be quiet, shut your mouth and listen for that inner-voice
into your heart and mind that will bring you closer to Him that will show you a way out,
that will show you in your heart and mind what you must do to fix this problem. Jesus
will show you; He will make a way. I want to share what the words of Jesus say. It's
in the book of Mark chapter 4 beginning at verse 35, He says, On that day, when evening
came, He said to them, “Let us go over to the other side.” 36Leaving the crowd, they
took Him along with them in the boat, just as He was; and other boats were with Him.
37And there arose a fierce gale of wind, and the waves were breaking over the boat so much
that the boat was already filling up. 38Jesus Himself was in the stern, asleep on the cushion;
and they woke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?”
39And He got up and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Hush, be still.” And the
wind died down and it became perfectly calm." It doesn't matter how big the storm is in
your life or my life. If you will stop looking around... If you will stop looking to the
left and to the right and to other people and to other things and to other resources
and look to the GIVER of LIFE, JESUS CHRIST. He will calm the storm. He will make a way,
but you must go to Him. Turn away from sin. Stop seeking after other people, other things,
other ways out... Look to Jesus and He will calm the storm. May Jesus bless you.
