[BRAVE NEW WORLD CULTURE CENTER]
[Citizen Havel. Does ethos help in politics?]
[Sławomir Sierakowski talks with Tadeusz Mazowiecki (1st non-communist prime minister)]
Does ethos help? I reply: it doesn't
From time to time the straw breaks the camel's back
patience runs out, people will stand tall
and then things happen that were hard to even imagine before
[Free Sunday: Paweł Postaremczak and Robert Kusiołek]
[We will climb down the walls when we enter TV as an obligatory rebellion]
[Zuzanna Janin]
The problem is that politicians purloin our values
Today you even don't talk about values
In contemporary discourse there is no word 'value' because it's a political word
[Brave Little World, kids workshop by Michał Górczyński]
[Digital impetus of modernization]
[Edwin Bendyk talks with Michał Boni (Minister of Administration and Digitization)]
I told myself that one of the main goals we should set for ourselves
is not to lose the network society
[Africacy of the Year Awards]
[concert: Mamadou Diouf, Pako Sarr, Mouhamed M'Bow and Paul Stecura]
["Who cares if they did it out of greed?"]
[The Fall of the House of Trynczer - book promotion]
Thinking about Holocaust on the Polish territories
is somewhat similar to what was happening in Rwanda
where a teacher murdered his student and a physician murdered his patient
And here we have something similar
We have a village where people knew each other perfectly, they were neighbours
and they were killing each other
[From powerless to indignant. On non-political politics]
[Sławomir Sierakowski talks with Jan Krzysztof Bielecki (former prime minister)]
Perhaps we shouldn't assume that we live in times when politics should be handed over
or that politics should have the nature it has
And perhaps we should accept that we have a very serious crisis of policy
in liberal democracies. That, in fact, we have liberal democracy itself in a serious crisis
You speak brilliantly somewhat similarly to the way our friends used to talk some 30 years ago
They also said that politics should be nice, idealistic. And that's fine, I agree
But in the end politics is that you have to win elections
Politicians were perhaps winning elections but at the same time they became much weaker
from rating agencies, from various institutions that didn't have to win elections
All they needed is that they had more money than the politicians
More methods, more technologies
A question: Should an artist deal in politics or should he separate from politics?
Should he get involved?
Can his art genuinely influence the policy?
[Art that seeks the truth of its own goal]
[Katarzyna Górna talks with Katarzyna Kozyra]
I think that it's not necessarily the artist that needs to want to change
An artist might also want to change, to have such a call
but it doesn't mean all other proffesions are free from having such a call
Let us all have that damn call to make a change
