Hi, I'm Leo and this is my model Olwin and this video's all about a 60s beehive-inspired
up do. To start this look, we take a section from
the parting down to the top of the ear and then we take a section from there up through
the crown, all the way over to the opposite ear. With the underneath section, spray then
brush and just brush all the hair as high as you can and then place a pony band to secure. It doesn't
matter if it's loose, as long as it gives some stability.
Then with the remaining hair, just wrap that around your fingers, I'm almost going to make
like a bun at the crown and just secure that with some grips.
With the entire midsection we simply use our fingers and a wide-tooth comb to create the
body. So fingers to section, wide-tooth comb, and we just come through three inches above
the root and just build down the body and you can see already Olwin's hair starts to
get bigger and bigger. Repeat this technique throughout the section and you can also spray
a bit of hairspray for some extra fix, continuing all the way towards the front. Finishing with
this last section at the front, making sure that you've left your original first section
out through here. And simply twist the hair and push forward
and that is what gives you your beehive effect. And grip your twist into the back of the head,
taking the remainder of the ponytail and again, just folding it in, not being too precious
about it, too particular, it's supposed to be messy, a little bit undone.
With the remaining front section, we can literally just take a few pieces of hair and just take
them over the beehive and pin at the back, same on the other side, just taking sections
with your finger loosely and randomly placing them up into the crown.
And there it is, the perfect beehive look ready for the party season.
