Hello. I'm Mark Griffith. This is going to be a brief introduction into how to buy stock
direct. A lot of people investing in the stock exchange, buying shares in companies wish
to save every penny they can because trading charges, brokering charges can eat away the
profits which can be very hard to make. So, one thing that a lot of people should think
about is actually buying directly, buying the shares directly from the companies. Now,
there are one or two problems. First of all, you have to find which companies do this.
Around about fifteen hundred companies in the United States sell their stocks, sell
their shares directly to the public, and there are laws against advertising this service.
So, you will need to make a bit of effort to find out which companies do this. When
you've managed. Of course, you should do the kind of research you would do buying any shares.
You should look into the companies. You should look at your own investment needs. Do you
want high risk? Do you want low risk? What time line are you looking at, and then you
should look at the companies and judge them just at you would judge any other company
and work out which ones best suit your needs. Then, you will have to actually apply to each
company, and most of the companies have different application procedures. They have different
forms. You'll have to fill those out. Some of them do go through intermediaries and enable
you to make the same savings that you make if you buy direct. If you go through some
kind of agent or other, but most of them you'll have to do it directly, and you'll have to
fill out the applications. So, once you've understood the applications, fill them out,
send them off and then it's simply a matter of actually buying the shares, and you should
find; in most cases, in fact, you'll be able to transfer funds electronically, and in a
few cases only by check, or by check if you prefer. So, that's it. You need to do your
research. You need to look around carefully. Just like any other company, and you will
need, as well as, assessing companies, you will need to do a little bit of work finding
out who offers you the chance to buy shares in that company directly. Good luck.
