Hi. I'm Laura from YoungWritersWorkshops.com, ah, I'm going to talk about some ideas about
how to get a cookbook published. Ah, almost every large publisher has a cookbook publishing
arm and yet, unless you are a restauranteer or a celebrity chef, it's highly unlikely
that you'll be able to, for your first book, egt it published by a large publisher. Do
some research, look around at smaller in prints, smaller publishers that might be interested
in a title that, in the title of your book. Um, you also want to put your manuscript together
in a way that's really professional, formatted clearly and includes all the information that
requested in the publisher's guidelines. Ah, if you're writing a cookbook that you'd like
to publish as a fund-raising project, there are several small publishers that do that
kind of work. Um, Heritage Publishing is one of them. They'll give you all the information
you need to self-publish your cookbook for your fund-raiser. Um, it's important to start
small, get your work out there and this could be the r, the way to get to be a bigger, to
a bigger publisher with, um, that lets you keep more of the royalties over time. Um,
the most important thing of all, to remember, is to be persistent, ah, you have to expect
some rejection when you're, in any publishing project. Um, that's some ideas about how to
get a cookbook published.
