What I like about Transcendental Meditation is that it’s easy. You get the same results
every single time. There are variations on how you feel, but you know it has a positive
effect on your body. With the meditation I feel that every part of my body, every aspect
of my life, has been enhanced by that one technique.
I was looking for a method that was natural to better control my stress of going to school
and working. So I took a course back in Ottawa. The first time that I was exposed to the technique
I just thought it was amazing because it was so simple, so natural. I said to myself “Oh
that’s what heaven feels like”. To be able to be in this world and experience heaven
without having to take anything artificial—I think the benefit speaks for itself.
I would say that Transcendental Meditation is a gift for yourself, but it’s also a
gift for the world. You can’t have peace outside if you don’t have peace inside.
I believe that if people really want to make a difference, then they have to make a difference
in how they feel on a daily basis.
Transcendental Meditation is my way to contribute to world peace by having a little bit of heaven
everyday twice a day. So that would be my suggestion to other people.
