>>Agnelli:
I think that we all follow the news items,
in particular sport news and in these
last days the legal sport news as well.
I can’t hide the fact that,
in the light of the activity
by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Cremona,
the overall current pattern is extremely worrisome
for the whole football world.
We’re following all developments
with concern and disappointment,
but considering the whole current picture
and I’m here today to underline this point
I don’t think that Antonio Conte belongs to this worrisome pattern.
My position can be explained with three main reasons.
Firstly, and mainly, the role ascribed to
Antonio is practically negligible.
Secondly, the club that I represent
have thoroughly known Antonio over the last season,
which saw Juventus back to winning ways up until clinching the Scudetto.
Thirdly, I’ve known him for 20 years,
and he’s always shown honesty, integrity and fairness over
his whole career, as both Juventus football player and Juventus manager.
Moreover, knowing Antonio and his moral values,
and considering the current stage of the inquiry
activated by ordinary and sport justice,
it’s absolutely fair to respect the work carried out by
the investigating authorities,
as they are addressing a quite complex scene.
However the same respectful attitude
should be shown to those who found themselves involved in
these circumstances which are to be verified,
to those who are living a moment of weakness.
Along with the club Juventus,
I’m now personally close to Antonio Conte and Leonardo Bonucci.
About the latter, I’ve just known from some agency dispatches,
that he would also be implied in
the inquiry activated by a different Public Pr
osecutor’s Office.
Leonardo joined us two years ago,
he knows how to address stresses,
and I wish him to pass
through this time as soon as possible
in order to enjoy a wonderful European Championship,
with a National side which still counts for one-third of Bianconeri players.
In order to avoid possible conjectures,
I’d like to conclude by pointing out the fact that
Antonio is and will be our manager.
Next season, we’ll be involved in the Champions League
- the top European competition - and
Antonio will certainly be our leader.
Thank you.
>>Conte
Thanks Andrea for your words.
I’d like to say that
I think that my sport career,
as both football player
and manager is
absolutely apparent.
I’ve always shown moral honesty
and integrity under all circumstances,
as both footballer and manager.
You can ask my former teammates,
my players, and my rivals too
what kind of person Antonio Conte
is on the pitch:
he’s a man who wants to win,
who also goes beyond
his possibilities to achieve
his targets.
I’ve carried out a hard work,
with sacrifices and humility,
trying to transmit true values to my
players.
We mustn’t forget that
I’ve also been attacked by
people armed with sticks
under my two-years
daughter and my wife’s eyes,
and just due to my moral integrity,
honesty and fairness.
This is Antonio Conte,
especially for those who
don’t know him or perhaps
those who pretend that
they don’t.
With Siena I won last year’s
championship three games before
the end of the season,
with sacrifice,
hard work, tears and
achieving great satisfaction,
with a group of extraordinary lads.
I’d like to
underline my total
ignorance of all these facts,
as well as that of my players.
It was a wonderful season,
and nobody will damage it,
because it was something really special.
I was put under
investigation for criminal conspiracy.
My house was thoroughly searched,
and I wasn’t there.
I read the order and the few words contained therein.
I immediately wondered why
I wasn’t sent for by
the public prosecutor in Cremona
before my house
search and before being put under investigation.
I fully read the order and its poor content,
I’d have expected to be heard by the public
prosecutor in Cremona before
such measures were taken.
I think to have been exhaustive.
Enjoy your holidays, I’ll do so.

That’s all, thank you for your attention. Bye
