Hello Guys. Praveen here for TechEmpty.com This current tutorial is all about showing
How to Turn your Windows 8 Laptop into a WiFi Hotspot without using any third party software
or tools. You can do it within couple of minutes and can access Internet on your Wireless devices
in the next second. Let me explain the procedure of enabling WiFi Hotspot on Windows 8 Laptop.
As I already said this is the software free trick. So, you no need to have any applications
called connectify or Wireless Virtual Router. Lets move forward right away.
Open Run by typing the combination of Windows + R keys then type ncpa.cpl or come to system
tray, select Internet Access Icon, right click then select Open Network and Sharing Center
then select Change Adapter Settings. Both ways will work.
After opening, select your WiFi or Ethernet or LAN connection which you would like to
broadcast, right click then select Sharing. Here in the sharing options select Allow other
Network users to connect through this computer's internet connection. If you get other options
here then select Local Area Network. It's better to unselect second option and click
Ok.
Now headover to Command Prompt by right clicking at the left bottom corner and from the options
select Command Prompt (Admin). Type the following commands here. You can find the text format
of these commands in show notes below.
First type netsh wlan set hostednetwork mode=allow ssid=TechEmpty key=tech@mpty and hit enter. You will get three lines here stating
Hosted Network allowed, SSID and Key passphrase changed successfully.
Now type second command to start hosted network netsh wlan start hostednetwork and hit enter.
You are done. Now type the third command to show the broadcasted network.
netsh wlan show hostednetwork and hit enter.
Now refresh WiFi Networks on your PC or other Laptop or on your Smartphone and find the
broadcasted SSID name. Enter the Key Phrase there to connect with the network.
That's it. If you face any issues do comment below. Do share or thumb up this video if
it found useful. Please don't forget to subscribe to our channel for more tutorials. Your Contribution
