Pilgrim, here San Telmo became ill in April, 1251.
Ask him that speaks to God for you.
This plaque in the enclave of the Portuguese way to Santiago
is known like O Ponte das Febres.
A small bridge from the Medieval Age that crosses San Simón
stream and pilgrims walked on.
A pilgrim who was going to Santiago de Compostela
the Dominican friar Gonzá*** Telmo who in XIII century
was making works of evangelization here.
He's the Patron Saint of Tui and the tradition tells us that he got ill
when he arrived at this bridge.
He came back to Tui and he died there a few days later.
O Ponte das Febres, in honour to the fevers that San Telmo suffered,
is a very loved and esteemed place for the people of Tui.
And when pilgrims arrive here they pray to San Telmo
to help them in their pilgrimage.
