Microsoft Excel is a registered trademark of Microsoft Office Products and I am in no
way, shape or form affiliated with Microsoft Office or Microsoft. What we want to do right
now is go ahead and work with percentages in an Excel worksheet. As you can see I kind
of put in a little bit of information here. I've got some phantom purchasers, I've got
some phantom items, quantities ordered, and then quantities received. What I want to do
is create how much of that shipment was actually received. So the easiest way to do that is
to click up in the function box and type in equals D two which is our seventy-five items
received divided by C two which is what we actually wanted to order. I've already form
- right click on it and make sure that it's formatted to sell as a percentage. Click okay.
Then next you want to go up to edit, fill, series, and then we're going to go by the
column and the step value is going to be by one, and you click okay. You'd get your fill
- auto fill handle, your pull down handle, and then it'll propagate the rest of the columns.
And that is how you create percentages on an Excel worksheet.
