This is a 60-second Army Now from Soldiers Radio and Television.
I'm Sergeant Earl Scott.
Remembering the fallen.
The United States Congress has designated March 25 of each year as National Medal of Honor Day.
March 25 was chosen to highlight this special day because it was on March 25, 1863, that the first Medals of Honor were presented.
To commemorate National Medal of Honor Day, President Barack Obama, alongside 4 Medal of Honor recipients--
--laid a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery.
Onlookers gathered as the president greeted 35 of the 98 living Medal of Honor recipients after the ceremony--
--stopping to chat with each of them.
The nation will forever be in debt to the recipients of the Medal of Honor for their bravery and sacrifice in the times of war or armed conflict.
