Opening all these blind bags made me hungry!
Fortunately the local bargain store has the proper food to fix that:
"Thai Noodles Tom Yum", it's like a blind bag with food in it. Great!
"Exotic Food Authentic Thai"
"Ready in just two steps" - I guess the third step
would be emptying your stomach into the nearest toilet.
Looks pretty tasty on the box,
although I'm pretty certain there's no fish inside.
And likely no paprika either, but oh well.
But what does it contain?
Hmm ... "Thai Instant Noodle Meal Tom Yum"
"Coconut milk, water, Tom Yum paste", lots of stuff,
but no artifical flavours.
All food from china or asia in general contains artifical flavors!
How very odd.
How do we "cook" this ...
"Give contents of both bags into the box, stir, close box."
"Heat in the microwave for two minutes on maximum power."
"Open box carefully, warning: hot steam could burn you." Aha!
"Mix well using fork before eating. Bon Appetite!" We'll see about that!
"Imported by Double Happiness Wholesale Ltd."
But only in the UK.
It's some German company otherwise.
Mh.
"Made in Thailand." Who would have known ...
"Thailand on a plate"
Oh, includes a fork! That's nifty as I don't have a fork in the entire house.
Let's have a look, I'm pretty hungry.
Oh, it's a few days past expiration but that should be no problem.
Likely the reason for the low price though.
Ugh!
Right, what do we have here?
A fork. Could double as spoon as well.
Let me assemble it.
Yeah, that does its job, although it's a bit wobbly.
A bag ...
which seems to contain the sauce ...
and another bag with ...
pre-cooked ... pre-digested noodles. Yummy!
Well, I'd say, give me a moment an I'll be right back
with the results of this mess. See you soon!
Two minutes and several cycles later ...
Well, what can I say - dinner's ready!
Didn't take longer than two minutes,
didn't take more than two steps to make,
but it doesn't look remotely like on the box.
Discolored vegetables ...
absolutely unidentifiable stuff ...
the noodles smelled so funky when opening,
my kitchen is barely usable afterwards.
Let's have a bite ...
but I don't expect it to be any good.
Oh, it's damn spicy! Incredibly hot!
Whoa, they should have put a warning on the box!
This stuff doesn't need artificial flavors, it's all pepper!
Well, that's just awesome.
This isn't edible at all. Its got a terrible aftertaste
likely related to the horrible noodles we
have seen, and it really doesn't look good.
And the rest ...
bleh.
It's not very appetizing to say the least. I guess I'll stay hungry.
I'm supposed to keep to a diet anyway.
Well ...
thanks for that, "Exotic Foods", your Tom Yum Noodles are just what I needed.
Thank you very much for watching and see you next time!
