hey guys, in this video I would like to show you how to insert
automated page numbers for example from the
third page... and on the previous pages, we don't want to have
any page numbers.
I prepared this example for you. I have here
the title page. On the second page you find the table of content
and on the third page comes the
introduction. At first I activate
show paragraph marks.
You can find them under the home ribbon.
Now you can see I have
inserted here a page break. I remove it now.
and I insert under page layout
then breaks... then
section breaks, next page. So now I have a section break
this is important because it doesn't work with
page breaks.
Now you can deactivate the
sections marks if you want.
Now I go to the third page
and right click on the footer
and
now this design ribbon opens up and under navigation you can see
"link to previous", this field is activated right now
so I have to deactivate the "link to previous" button.
Now I deactivated it.
and now we go to the second page.
and delete the
automated page numbers... and
as you can see I don't have any page numbers
on the title page... and on the table of content
but on the third page 2 (introduction) I still have
a page number. Now I right click
on the footer
on page number three and right click on this
automated page number and click on
format page numbers.
Now I activate the "start at" field and choose
from one
and thats it!
Now I the third page that starts from one
and the first and the second page don't have
any page numbers. Thanks for watching!
