Studio host 1: Today we would like to speak again about Euro 2012.
Why? Because this topic is very relevant, less than 500 days left till this milestone
event. As you may know, the Competition for unofficial
Euro 2012 mascot is taking place now.
The official mascots are already known – those are Slavko and Slavek.
But there should also be chosen an unofficial one – for example, cats by Ivan Malkoych
or Zozulica.
Zozulica, I will briefly introduce it to you, is a Trypillian whistle, which is suggested
to be taken to support players at stadiums.
We have short information, video presentation about Zozulica and its creators.
And then we will continue communicating.
Alexander Sokolinsky: This is a souvenir version, to be used as a present – symbol of Trypillian
culture.
And here is a small version, it is also Zozulica. As you can see, it is smaller than lighter,
and approximately 5 times smaller than a mobile phone.
Absolutely safe to use and non-traumatic.
It can easily hang on the neck of a tourist or a football fan, thus creating a kind of
flash-mob to demonstrate that a person having small Zozulica on a chest is interested in
our history and culture.
As you may recall, vuvuzela is a plastic product.
Our Zozulica, which we call immortal, is produced from clay.
Even if it falls down and breaks, it may be powdered and by adding some water, a new one
can be made. It is indeed immortal.
Now I will try to show them both in action.
Studio host 2: Magic of television.
Studio host 1: With this pot no one will attend a stadium. Imagine if the game outcome is
wrong. It is a souvenir first of all.
Studio host 2: But it can be also played.
Studio host 1: it can be played, but not at a stadium. And this thing you may also bring
to a stadium with you. We have some kind volunteers, who have already
done the Zozulica testing. Let’s take a look.
Studio host 2: I managed to play it. You’ve lost. Let’s look how other people tested
them. And afterwards we will try to create some magic.
Petro Maga, journalist: Fantastic. Honestly, when I see such things, I realize that there
are true things in Ukraine. It is alive, clay is alive.
And the form is typically ours, look. Very nice,
Yuriy Bilonog, sportsman: I am not a musician, but I can say that this is a good instrument.
I would like us to show it during Euro 2012 and make it the symbol, since it is purely
Ukrainian instrument.
Anna Bessonova: It has been my first experience. Indeed a very interesting, bright and emotional
thing, because by only looking at it the smile appears, and it is immediately clear where
it comes from – from our native Ukraine.
Vasyl Kardash, football player: Something like this. The most important thing - it makes
sounds, it can inspire players and add impressions essential for a stadium.
Vasyl Virastyuk, sportsman: Which impressions? I don’t know how to play it. When I see
someone, who can play it, it is very good. As for me it didn’t work out.
The sound is something like cou-cou-cou. I can make such sounds without this thing also.
Roman Virastyuk, sportsman: I my opinion this instrument is very warm, because clay, soil
is what unites us all in Europe and I guess that our answer to those African pipes will
be cool. The most important thing for it is not to
break down, because of potential security ban.
Vasyl Virastyk: Maybe it got warm after numerous holders.
Studio host 2: Prytula-style remark - Vasyl Kardash is not just a football player, He
is former FC Mayestro trainer, and presently, as far as I remember, he is working with FC
Dynamo brace. All in all renowned Ukrainian football player,
used to play for national team and Dynamo Kyiv. That is to be brief.
Studio host 1: We continue with Zozulica. It is a representation of Trypillian culture.
Children and adults suffering from asthma were recommended to make special breathing
exercises with this pure clay product. Also Zozulica was used to get protected from evils,
which is also important.
Studio host 2: Amazing! I used to play pipe (sopilka) for 3 years.
Studio host 1: Our studio number is 044 501 99 01, if you wish to get a tiny Zozulica.
Studio host 2: Cool. Have you told already it was used for evil protection? Let’s sing
a song then for our missing colleague Prytula.
Studio host 1: Good morning!
Viewer calling: Good morning
Studio host 1: What’s your name?
Viewer calling: Anastasia.
Studio host 2: Wow.
Studio host 1: Nastya, I am sorry, I have just discovered my colleague’s hidden talents.
Studio host 2: I am shocked myself. Nastya, look, here we have three souvenir Zozulicas
to hang on neck and push off evils.
Studio host 1: Another has been kissed by Sasha, would you like to get it?
Viewer calling: Yes
Studio host 1: Then you need to create a Euro 2012 chant, because the chant competition
is running now. Sasha Pedan and Sergiy Prytula are the Euro
2012 friends and the jury members. So, imagine you are at the stadium and you
need to shout something for our team to win.
Studio host 2: You need to inspire players.
Studio host 1: Shout please.
Studio host 2: Something simple.
Studio host 1: Could be even a word, but not three letters.
Viewer calling: Ukraine - go forward!
Studio host 1: Very good.
Studio host 2: And the rest – go back! So here is your Zozulica, nice and tiny. Do you
study at school?
Viewer calling: Yes.
Studio host 2: So, you enter a class and start whistling. You will say: “Sasha Pedan allowed
me you cannot stop me” - and during all six lessons you will be doing this. If seriously,
you already own this mascot to hang on you neck. So you are all-equipped for Euro 2012!
Viewer calling: Thank you very much.
