Hello to everybody. Welcome to our new video.
Today we are here to tell you about our first impressions
of a game different from the usual, this is the demo
of an innovative Indie videogame called "In verbis Virtus"
an action puzzle FPS where you will impersonate a wizard
and you will use spells using your own voice with a microphone.
We decided to make a video about this game because we think
it is truly original and engaging the idea of pronouncing
really spells instead of pressing keys.
The developers are a group of young Italians, the "Indomitus Games",
and their idea was born during their studies at the Polytechnic of Milan.
The game, which was presented during a university course,
received a lot of success and then they decided to continue
the development of the game to make it complete and innovative.
A playable demo of the game is currently free but we hope
that soon it will release the official version and
it will be available via Steam, as it has recently passed
the stage of Steam Greenlight.
Telling this, we leave you to the gameplay with our "First Impressions".
For Players by Gamers ... Bye!
Hello everyone, We're back here again in the game.
As you can see, before start playing you will be able to access
the settings of our microphone to set the capture device incoming.
The developers recommend using a headset to optimize speech recognition
of skill but also with a built-in microphone to any PC
you can get good results.
It was also tested that speech recognition is quite effective,
and you can also play in a crowded place without any problems.
The game is in English as regard the texts and skills,
for this reason developers are thinking about a possible translation
or rather a conversion of the names of spells in a new language,
invented that it is so universal.
In this way it would also resolve the problem of pronunciation,
different for each country, and for this reason it was planned
to introduce a phase of "training"
where the internal software auto-adjust itself
and at the same time allowed to practice with the names spells.
We leave you to follow a short piece of gameplay
where we back and fill in the use of magic ...
From what you have seen, the gameplay of this demo is very simple.
The player shall proceed completely disarmed in a basement
full of dangers and overcome obstacles through the knowledge of arcane spells
that you will learn during the game
There will be possible to light the environment around us
or move objects with the power of thought.
The demo itself is very short, but it makes us understand
what are the mechanical and strengths of the game.
From the beginning you can see the high graphic and attention to detail:
inside the temple you can see "dark fantasy" traits
with dark places and distressing, this is emphasized
by the play of light and shadow, which addition to environmental effects,
it recalls these sensations to the player.
The same effects of spells are well maintained
although the current demo we could evaluate only a few.
The sound is well done and appropriate to the context,
which it creates a surreal and engaging environment.
The mechanics of the puzzle is the ability of the player
to find the solution using available skills,
interacting with the environment in a different way each time.
The resolution of the puzzle is therefore more exciting
thanks to the implementation of the spells themselves.
In conclusion, the gameplay is original and fun and
the puzzles represent a good level of challenge.
Some INDIE videogames can be really a rare pearls
and we believe this has really good potential
that we can't wait to see done
and maybe can test any new demo with additional elements.
Our video ends here, if you do not know this game
we will put in the infobox the link where you can download the free demo;
we are waiting for your comments to know your opinions.
We see at the next VideoReview "For Players By Gamers". Bye!
