This was my dream school.
I knew about it since my freshman year in high school and
I knew the big vet program, animal science program they had here and
like, when I got accepted I was just like, yes, this is
coming true and then my career path is set in stone for me.
>> I know that UC Davis is a strong science school and I know
that they would best prepare me for you know, what I wanted to learn.
They were more geared towards my field.
>> This is a university that's on
par nationally you know, or even internationally.
>> I remember coming here sophomore year of high school and
we went on a campus tour, just my parents and I.
We just kind of walked around and I loved the sort of small town feel of
Davis and the campus and actually, never went
on an official tour or anything like that.
I ride horses and loved the equestrian center and it's, the
location is definitely good, close to the mountains, close to the cities.
Just, kind of a, it just clicked being here.
>> What excited me most about Davis was the wide
variety of programs and opportunities that it has to offer.
You can find anything from an internship at the horse barn
to an internship at a U.C. Davis medical student run clinic.
>> I mean, I think my experience here since I've been here has totally gone
past all my expectations of what U.C. Davis was, I thought was going to be.
Just getting involved with different clubs and organizations on campus.
Seeing how nice everyone is, how many different outreach programs we have.
I was an orientation leader so it was really cool.
Getting involved with all the incoming students
and seeing that part of it as well.
