What's up everybody, ml_Paris_Sixteen here
Today I'm going to introduce you to the Ultimate Defense
So what is it about?
Simply put, it's a technique that will turn your opponents CRAZY
Just so you know, I used this technique to quickly climb up to Division 1
But I also used it in international tournaments
This technique is really easy to learn, apply and is really efficient
In order to perform this technique you will need 2 things
The first one being the "teammate pressing"
So how do you that?
You have to press on the R1 bumper if you own a Playstation Or RB if you own an XBOX
By doing so, it will send one of your teammates on the ball carrier
By doing so, it will send one of your teammates on the ball carrier
He will either contain your opponent (closing gaps),
or tackle him when has an opportunity
So calling a teammate pressing will allow you to put pressure on the ball carrier,
forcing him to make quick decisions, which will lead him to make mistakes.
Quick note: another benefit from this
is that the computer will be less likely dribbled
because the cpu has a better reaction time and will not be affected by fakes
The second thing you need to apply this technique
is to take one of your players and drag him manually on the field
generally you will drag him in a deeper zone
which will allow him to intercept the ball or a player trying to escape
First example, classic example, Cristiano Ronaldo will try to break out,
so we will select one of our defenders and drag him into a deep zone,
our main goal here is either intercepting the ball or jamming him
Another good example here, we'll send one of our teammates on the ball carrier,
and we will notice on the top of the screen, an attacker will try to break free
So what we have to do is to select one of our players and
like before, drag him into a deep zone in order to intercept the ball
the opponent noticing that, he will hesitate, and this moment of hesitation will be costly
One of my defenders will take the ball from him from behind
and we will be able to clear the ball easily,
A third example demonstrating the efficiency of this technique,
We will still send one of our teammates pressing,
At this moment, your opponent has 3 choices
He can try and pass the ball to him, him or him
For me, the number one threat is the attacker on the top of the screen,
So I'll select one of my defenders and cover him
When my opponent will see that, he will take the worst possible option
he will cross the ball to the other side of the pitch,
Why was that the worst possible option for him?
Simply because it gave enough time to my defenders to come back, take position,
and pressure him right after that.
Here I will show you how to defend 3 players with only 1 of your defenders,
As usual, you will send one of your teammates to press,
And you will prepare one of your players to take a deep zone,
So if you try and picture it, your defender has the control over all of this area,
When your opponent will see that, he will tell himself "damn it, I can't pass it up there"
So he will pass the ball down
Unfortunately for him, one of my players was in the way and intercepted it
and we're back counter attacking
Last example, I still have my teammate pressing,
We notice that Cristiano Ronaldo will possibly break free,
So we will select one of our defenders and make retreat,
We can see that it will leave Marcelo opened,
But for me it's not a problem, why?
Because I'd rather have Marcelo shoot than Cristiano Ronaldo
So, it's also your job to evaluate who is a direct threat, who is not,
and let the less threatening guy get the ball
When you'll master this technique,
you will see that you will force your opponent to play the way YOU want him to play,
YOU will decide where he gets to play,
So intercepting balls will become really easy for you,
as well as jamming him. All and all you will control the game
Last advice I can give you,
Don't keep the R1/RB bumpers pressed all the time, why?
Because it will leave bunch of holes in your defense
and it will become way to easy for your opponent!
That's all for me folks,
I hope that you liked the video or learnt something valuable,
In any case, I wish you a pleasant game and see you soon!
