Today on our 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, we'll be test fitting the Swagman XTC2 2 Bike Carrier
for both 1-1/4-inch and 2-inch hitches, part number S64670. Now to begin the test fit,
we'll slide the bike rack shank into the hitch, line up the hitch pin hole, and install and
tighten down our anti-rattle bolt. With the bolt tight, our bike rack is secured to the
vehicle. Now, we'll go ahead and give you a few measurements. Our ground clearance at
the bike rack is 19 inches and from the closest point of the bike rack to the back of the
vehicle is 5 inches. We'll next go ahead and unfold the bike rack platform and open our
tailgate. As you can see, we can gain access to the
bed, opening the tailgate with this bike rack installed. We're now almost ready to load
our bike. We'll need only to make sure that our wheel loop straps are undone and out of
the way and that our vertical clamp is fully extended. We'll place the bike into the wheel
loops and bring the vertical bar up, remembering to reinstall the pin holding the bar in place.
We'll then bring the clamp down over the top bar of our bike.
