you've got a brand new pair of eyebobs and you're probably wondering what to do
to keep them in tip top shape
so I've got a few things that you can do and then some other things that you should
definitely not do in order to keep your frames in good working order
do clean your friends with lens cleaner and a soft cloth. iI you don't have a
lens cleaner available, water with the drop of dish soap works just fine
don't clean your eyebobs with ammonia products or glass cleaner. those
products can scratch the lenses and really you don't want those chemicals next to your eyes anyway
don't clean them with paper towels or tissues because those are
paper products and they can also scratch your lenses
do store your frames properly when they're not in use. keeping them in the
case saves loads of wear and tear on your frames and on your lenses so here's
your new mantra
when they're not on your face
put them in the case
don't under any circumstances lay your frames on a table lens down. This will
definitely scratch them and they could end up looking like this
you will also want to avoid putting your frames directly in your shirt pocket
bag or briefcase, as this will also scratch the lenses
scratch free eyebobs are happy eyebobs people. remember, the case is your friend.
do have your frames adjusted regularly by a qualified optician
first when you receive the frames you can get a fit that's customized for your face
and then after you've been wearing them for a while. glasses tend to stretch with
wear and tear and reading glasses especially go through a lot of wear and tear
so you'll want to get them adjusted about every six months or so to keep them in
good shape
don't put extra stress in your friends they're wearing them on top of your head
we've all seen frames worn like this
not by you of course but maybe by someone you know
don't do this because it ads alot of extra wear and tear on the frame and can cause
them to stretch
another thing to avoid is taking off your frames with one hand like this
this is also a really hard in your hinges so what you want to do when you
remove your frames is take them off with both hands
and the bonus is...look how thoughtful and smart you look when you do it that way
and finally do be careful where you leave your eyebobs. we've recently heard
from a customer who sat her frames on a baking pan while she was making a lasagna
and
while suffice to say eyebobs don't fare so well after an hour or so at 350 degrees.
