Hi, my names is Dr. Steve Minors of Rehab Effects in Austin, Texas. Today we'll be talking
about the application of Cold Laser Therapy when there's an indication of pain and or
inflammation. The patient may present with for example, a sprained ankle that just isn't
getting any better. It's swollen, there's bruising, it's difficult for them to walk
normally on that. And those are all indications that they may very well benefit from Cold
Laser Therapy. And we're going to show you how it would apply to that. Here we have a
model with an ankle and we're going to go ahead and get the laser going on that area.
We will set the frequencies appropriately for that. And the patient will receive this for twelve
to fifteen minutes. When we put the laser on the ankle we see the bright red light there.
Patient may be feeling a little bit of warmth or some indicate a cool sensation and it is
absolutely pain free.
