Hey guys! So as we all know, Apple has just recently made an official announcement regarding
the new iPad Air. However, is it really worth upgrading if you own an iPad 4? This is why
I wanted to make a quick video to show you what's really new. First things first, the
most noticeable change is the dimensions of the new iPad as it's almost 200 grams lighter
and 20% thinner than the previous model. Also, the speakers have been moved and placed just
like on the iPad mini. Moreover, the cellular version now requires a nano SIM card to function
whereas the iPad 4 used a micro SIM card. Furthermore, the display is totally the same
as on the iPad 4, and the same goes with the camera. It's still 5 MP and everything is
the same. Now, regarding the processor, the new iPad Air features A7 chip with 64-bit
architecture. According to Apple a big difference can be seen when taking photos and recording
videos as the new auto-focus is now very fast and so is the whole device, obviously. Also,
there's difference in the coloring section as the new iPad now comes in space grey and
silver color options opposite to the black and white for the fourth generation iPad.
Now, regarding the battery life, it's the same, however, the new iPad Air has twice
the CPU and GPU performance as the iPad 4 and Apple claims it is also 8 times faster
than the original iPad. So it's pretty good actually. The battery life stays the same,
however, the performance has increased dramatically, that's according to Apple, of course. So...
Will you upgrade to the new iPad? Do you think it's worth it? Please leave a comment below,
and thank you for watching!
