Welcome to this short briefing video regarding the upcoming weekend forecast. I’m meteorologist
Jessica Nolte. Please be aware this briefing is valid thru the afternoon of Wednesday,
February 26th. A very strong and wet Pacific storm will bring
a dramatic change to the Desert Southwest Friday and into the weekend. Widespread rain,
possibly heavy at times, is expected for periods. In addition to the rain, gusty west to southwest
winds are expected along with much cooler temperatures.
Desert highs across south-central Arizona are likely to remain in the low to mid 60s,
which is about 10 degrees below normal for this time of year.
Confidence is high Saturday will be a wet and rainy day for what is a very busy slate
of outdoor activities that are planned across the forecast area.
