LORRAINE TWOHILL: We've definitely seen some very
interesting trends emerging in marketing, and we watch them
very carefully here at Google.
Some of the ones I would call out are, for example, the
trend towards inviting your community and working with
communities, and the power of a community when they rally
around a brand or a topic or a passion.
Another example is open source creativity, working together,
creative folk coming together around the
world and working together.
I think useful marketing, a shift away from intrusive,
interruptive marketing to becoming more useful, more
engaging, more relevant to an audience, relevance.
And I would say technology in marketing, a convergence of
technology and marketing.
I mean, it's definitely happening all around us, and
the need for us all to understand technology within
the marketing world I think is a very major trend.
