So you've made your appointment with the Writing Center.
I'm sure you have a few questions, like
what happens next?
Well, let's find out.
Right now, we're in the elevator heading to the fourth floor of Wilson Hall. The first
thing to keep in mind is our tutors run on a very tight schedule, so be on time.
We only have 'til the forty-five after every hour, and we can't give you any more time after that.
When you get to the Center, there should be someone there ready to greet you. Try
to remember who your session is with,
but if you don't remember, someone can look it up for you.
Come prepared. It will help your tutor to help you. Some common problems students
have are brainstorming and outlining,
organization, thesis writing, transitions sentence variety, citations, formatting, and
help with grammar and punctuation.
But keep in mind we are not editing service. Our goal is to make you a better
writer, and this is not an all-inclusive list. If you have anything else you want
to work on, our tutors are here to help.
We want to thank you for making an appointment with the Writing Center and
we'll see you soon!
