Hi! I'm Liz with Studio Soiree and today I'm going to show you how to take it to the floor.
When I say taking it to the floor, it's just a term so that you can turn, get your back
facing the pole, and then we're going to take it to the floor, meaning I'm going to take
my whole body to the floor. The first way I'm going to go to the floor and show you
today, I call the two step. We make one large step in front, plant that foot, have a nice
steady line, button your belly to your spine, bring your hips out facing forward. I've made
a straight line with my body. I'm going to lift up this other leg, bend my other knee
until I'm sweetly seated on the floor. I'm going to show you another way to get down
to the floor. That's going to be our back bend. You're going to pirouette in. Back is
facing the pole. Take my left hand here. I'm going to take this first step with my outside
leg, and it's going to be a far step. You want to create a nice line here so that I'm
not going to sit on my foot. I'm going to extend down, do a back bend, bend my neck,
land on my shoulders, and I'm on the floor.
