Hello, I'm Matthew Burbank. And I'm an associate professor at the University Of Utah. And I'd
like to talk to you a little bit about how to get registered to vote in the State of
Illinois. The first point I want to make is, its' very easy to get registered to vote in
Illinois. That you can register to vote at any time of the year. Although, you have to
do it before, 27 days before the election which you wish to vote. The other point is,
that you need to meet the criteria to be eligible to vote. And those criteria are that you need
to be a U.S. citizen. You need to be a resident of the State of Illinois. And you need to
be at least 18 years of age. If you meet those criteria, then to get registered to vote in
the State of Illinois. What you need to do is either on-line get access to the vote of
registration form. Or you can also do this in a number of state agencies or County clerks
offices. You can get the form in person. And either way, on-line or in person, fill up
that form. Provide the needed information. And mail it in or give it to the government
official. And you will be registered to vote in the State of Illinois.
