In this team task you'll explore an MLA citation.
Each team will look at the example MLA citations in their packet.
Here's one of them. "The Word: Lear's Macaw" in the New Scientist.
Then you're going to answer some critical thinking questions.
Think about what you notice about the author's names in the citations.
Which parts of the citation are in quotes? Which parts of the citation are in italics?
What does the word "web" indicate, and why do you think it's important to cite
a journal article in correct MLA citation style?
Once you've done that with your team, go ahead and come back and we'll have a debrief
tutorial similar to this one. If you have any questions, contact us at library.boisestate.edu.
