HAS MORE FROM
RUPP ARENA
Christi: washington's
Cinderella run
continues as the 7
seeded huskies pull of
another user. A slow
start offensively and
poor shooting hurt the
cats early on but it was
their defense that had
been so good in the
second half of the
season that really let
them down. The cats
struggled with
containment all night
and just had no answer
for Walton or osahor.
Matthew: You know I
thought Walton, that
baseline back down
and fall away jumper,
those were tough
shots.The ones I was
disappointed in we
were
uncharacteristically out
of position defensively
tonight and they took
advantage of it.
Makayla: Janee and
Taylor did a
tremendous job on
Plum. She took some
tough shots and
missed some shots so
hats off to them for
that. I think a lot of us
just got caught up on
focusing on her that
we let the other
players, especially 0
and 3 have
tremendous nights.
Christi: after the game
a visibly emotional
makayla Epps said the
worst part about this
loss is losing Janee
Thompson. The
wildcat's lone senior
finished with 11 points
and 5 assists in her
final game as a wildcat.
