More jokes about President Obama’s lackluster performance in last Wednesday’s debate.
But this time the president is delivering the punchline — about being the punchline.
President
Obama addressed a star-studded Los Angeles fundraiser Sunday evening, taking the stage
after performances from Katy Perry and Stevie Wonder.
“Everyone here is incredible
professionals, they’re such great friends and they just perform flawlessly night after
night. I can’t always say the same.”
And when it comes to performing, who knows better
than the stars of Hollywood?
The Hollywood Reporter reports the president should anticipate
receiving some debate advice while visiting Los Angeles, quoting a veteran Democrat, “Everyone
with a connection to the president is reaching out to him.”
The Obama camp is hoping
to raise close to $10 million during its two-day fundraising swing through the Golden State.
Meanwhile,
at a rally in Florida Sunday, Governor Romney was also taking shots at the president’s
debate performance.
“Now of course in the days later, we’re hearing his excuses
and next January, we’ll be watching him leave the White House for the last time.”
The
one and only vice presidential debate is set for October 11.
President Obama and Governor
Romney face off again October 16 in the second of three debates.
